DORA: UNA SPOILT CHILD DAI LINEAMENTI INTELLIGENTI E ATTRAENTI

The main aim of the thesis is the whole comprehension of the Dora case study. Within this work, Dora is no longer seen as a hysterical girl dominated by her unconscious fantasies, with a difficult temperament, full of repressed rancour and suffering of a pathology in which even the constitutional features should be taken into account. Here, she is viewed as a real victim of the household, of the community in which she grew up, but also of the same therapeutic treatment conducted by Freud. This scope is achieved through a tight and systematic comparison, among the nuclear themes of the psychoanalysis (highlighted by several authors belonging to the orthodox psychoanalysis and others), its origins, the deep sense of its history, and its interlace with theories and practice. The title itself, Dora: una spoilt child dai lineamenti intelligenti eattraenti, contains the main goal of the entire work. So, the aim will be the updating of the vision of that girl "with smart and attractive traits"- analyzed and made famous by Freud - through the modern lens of the spoilt children, rather than the mere criticism of Freud's work
