Agent-based models and their ability to describe a system through the characteristics of its components and their interactions are gradually being recognized as valuable resources in the study and analysis of social and ecological dynamics, characterized by great complexity. This report describes the development of a spatially explicit agent-based model used to analyze the relationship between social interaction and the outcome of a flood event. The report describes the processing, carried out through QGis, of the data necessary to setup the model, analyzes the relationship between the method of representation of environmental characteristics and the output of the simulation.

Abstract
Agent-based models and their ability to describe a system through the characteristics of its components and their interactions are gradually being recognized as valuable resources in the study and analysis of social and ecological dynamics, characterized by great complexity. This report describes the development of a spatially explicit agent-based model used to analyze the relationship between social interaction and the outcome of a flood event. The report describes the processing, carried out through QGis, of the data necessary to setup the model, analyzes the relationship between the method of representation of environmental characteristics and the output of the simulation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
