In my thesis I deal with the measure of the mass accretion rate of galaxy clusters. This measure can constrain the structure formation models and the gravity theory. I have applied the caustic technique to mock catalogues of clusters extracted from an N-body simulation, to estimate their mass profiles we need to measure the accretion rate. The estimated rates agree with the real ones reported in De Boni (2016), within the uncertainties of the caustic technique. Based on this result, I measured the mass accretion rates of real clusters in the CIRS and HeCS catalogues, that include low and high redshift clusters. In the future, my results will be used to estimate how the accretion rate depends on redshift and to constrain the history of the mass assembly of clusters.
