La rêverie nell'opera di Jean-Jacques Rousseau e di Etienne de Senancour

The purpose of this work is the analysis of reverie in the thought of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the contribution of its elaboration in the work of Etienne de Senancour. The reflection on reverie is therefore to be configured as the trait d'union that unites the thought of the two authors The first chapter has, mainly, an introductory function, draws a general outline of the treatment by reconstructing the history and evolution of the term rêverie, up to the reworking accomplished by Rousseau. The Ginevrino makes this concept the key notion of his thought, giving rise to a real literary genre with Les rêveries du promeneur solitaire. Senancour refers to Rousseau's model for the drafting of his Rêveries, as clearly emerges from the title recovery. The Promenades are not only the basis of the Rêveries, but also of Oberman, Senancourin's most famous work, to which the author developed in a more complete manner the romantic themes that found their first formulation in Rousseau's work.

Lo scopo di questa tesi è l'analisi della rêverie nel pensiero di Jean-Jacques Rousseau e il contributo della sua elaborazione nell'opera di Etienne de Senancour. La riflessione sulla rêverie viene quindi a configurarsi come il trait d'union che unisce il pensiero dei due autori. Il primo capitolo ha una funzione principalmente introduttiva, traccia una quadro generale della trattazione ricostruendo la storia e l'evoluzione del termine rêverie, sino ad arrivare alla rielaborazione compiuta da Rousseau. Il Ginevrino fa di questo concetto il centro nodale del suo pensiero, dando origine con Les rêveries du promeneur solitaire ad un vero e proprio genere letterario. Senancour si rifà proprio al modello di Rousseau per la stesura delle sue Rêveries, come emerge chiaramente già dalla ripresa titolo. Le Promenades non sono alla base solo delle Rêveries, ma anche di Oberman, l'opera più famosa di Senancour, in cui l'autore ha sviluppato in maniera più compiuta le tematiche romantiche che hanno trovato la loro prima formulazione nell'opera di Rousseau.
