Interventi infermieristici in pazienti con ictus ischemico acuto sottoposti a trombectomia meccanica: una revisione della letteratura

Background: Acute ischemic stroke is the second cause of disability and death in the world. Mechanical thrombectomy represents the frist therapy in case of large vessel occlusion. Due to the complexity of the patient with this pathology and necessary treatment, specialized centers and multidisciplinary trained teams have been created. In this scenario, the role of the nurse, other than primary role as a coordinator of the treatment given to this patients is also take care of the patient. Aim: The aim of this study is to describe the nursing skills needed when assisting patients with acute ischemic stroke undergoing mechanical thrombectomy. Method: A revision of the literature has been made on PubMed and CINAHL databases. Results: A bibliographical research has been done on PubMed and CINAHL databases. The results of the research were a total of 481 articles. After filtering the limits the results went down to 395 and after analysing the titles and abstract only 35 were selected. After the complete reading of the article 11 were selected. Conclusions: Nursing care for patients with acute ischemic stroke is a highly specialised kind of assistance. Nurses plays a fundamental role during the treatment process, by recognising early signs and symptoms they are is able to prevent complications. Introduzione: L’ictus ischemico acuto è seconda causa di morte e disabilità a livello mondiale. La trombectomia meccanica rappresenta la prima scelta terapeutica in caso di ictus ischemico acuto con occlusione dei grandi vasi. La grandissima complessità del paziente con questa patologia e il seguente trattamento necessitano di centri specializzati e di un team multidisciplinare altamente formato. L’infermiere in questo contesto di cure gioca un ruolo fondamentale in quanto diventa garante dell'assistenza al paziente in modo olistico in aggiunta ai compiti di coordinamente delle cure. Obiettivo: Descrivere le competenze infermieristiche nell’assistenza ai pazienti con ictus ischemico acuto sottoposti a trombectomia meccanica. Metodi: È stata eseguita una revisione della letteratura sulle banche dati di PubMed e CINAHL. Risultati: La ricerca ha portato un totale di 481 articoli; dopo l’applicazione dei limiti sono risultati 395; dopo l’analisi di titoli ed abstract sono stati selezionati 35 articoli. Dopo la lettura completa sono stati selezionati 11 articoli. Conclusioni: L’assistenza infermieristica al paziente con ictus ischemico acuto è un’assistenza altamente specializzata. L’infermiere gioca un ruolo fondamentale nel processo di cura in quanto, attraverso il riconoscimento precoce di segni e sintomi riesce a prevenire le complicanze.
