Alterità sociale a Roma nelle Satire di Giovenale

Juvenal was one of the most important poet of I-II century. Through his main work, Satires, he recount from his point of view conditions and problems of the Rome of his period. We have decided to analyze the second Satire, against homosexuality, and the sixth Satire, against women: they were attacked for their behavior and judged negatively from the satirical. Furthermore he made a comparison with old times, where morality dominated.

Giovenale è stato uno dei più importanti poeti del I-II secolo d.C.. Attraverso la sua opera magna, le Satire, ha saputo raccontarci dal suo punto di vista le condizioni e le problematiche che riscontrava nella Roma dei suoi tempi. Tra questi abbiamo deciso di analizzare in particolare la Satira II, contro l'omosessualità, e la Satira VI, contro le donne: vengono attaccati per i loro comportamenti e giudicati negativamente dal satirico. Inoltre egli fa una comparazione con i tempi antichi, in cui era la moralità a dominare.
