Given the gradual ageing of the population, Long Term Care Insurance offers a support to people against the loss of self-sufficiency, integrating the services provided by public sector and the National Health Service. In particular, a current and serious problem is the Alzheimer's dementia, which leads families to turn to insurance sector and Governments to care about this topic and devise solutions to face the future impact of this disease. The aim of this work is to simulate possible scenarios starting from a real sample of data relative to patients afflicted by Alzheimer's dementia and using probabilistic models with the imposition of different conditions, based on researchers' considerations about the evolution of this issue in next decades. A comparison is made among countries and generations.

Abstract
A comparison is made among countries and generations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
