Arduino is a single-board microcontroller developed in Italy in the early 2000s. It was originally developed for prototyping and device connectivity and remains an open software and hardware. The Raspberry Pi later entered the market as a tool for computer science education. It is a tiny but full-fledged computer. It has its own processor, memory and graphical processing unit, and the components differ from model to model. The fact that one is a microcontroller and the other is a computer is the basic, but not the only difference between Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Chapter 1 introduces the two systems, while Chapter 2 shows their differences and similarities. The heart of the thesis is Chapter 3, which provides a literature review on the application of Arduino and Raspberry Pi in the Internet of Things field, particularly in relation to environmental applications, smart homes, public safety, and medical applications.

Abstract
The heart of the thesis is Chapter 3, which provides a literature review on the application of Arduino and Raspberry Pi in the Internet of Things field, particularly in relation to environmental applications, smart homes, public safety, and medical applications.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
