Luminescent compounds can find large employment in solid state applications, such as in optoelectronic devices. In this thesis work, a variety of solid-state luminescent Cu(I) polymetallic assemblies are synthetised using aliphatic linkers through straightforward and rational coordination-driven supramolecular processes. The luminescence behaviour of the obtained discrete metallacycles and coordination polymers is studied in detail, showing in some cases some interesting temperature-dependent emission properties.

Abstract
