The role of employment agencies has changed today, if until a few years ago the employment agency was associated with the concept of flexibility and precarious work, today the agency has become a key partner for companies and for candidates. The range of services offered has diversified and the agency has refined the offer and its line of business. Yet the economic literature is still behind on this aspect and does not bring out the new role covered by the agencies, not fully analyzing the characteristics of the market and the effect on HRM. This is why in my thesis I analyze this gap in the literature and the evolving role of employment agencies in the job market. The research is carried out studying a specific case of one of the most growing multinational employment agencies in Italy: GiGroup and analysing the point of view of people and workers with a survey created for the case study, with the aim to understand if the vision of workers is still tied up to the literature and if the margin of intervention of employment agencies to clarify their role in the mind of workers/candidates is present.

Abstract
The role of employment agencies has changed today, if until a few years ago the employment agency was associated with the concept of flexibility and precarious work, today the agency has become a key partner for companies and for candidates. The range of services offered has diversified and the agency has refined the offer and its line of business. Yet the economic literature is still behind on this aspect and does not bring out the new role covered by the agencies, not fully analyzing the characteristics of the market and the effect on HRM. This is why in my thesis I analyze this gap in the literature and the evolving role of employment agencies in the job market. The research is carried out studying a specific case of one of the most growing multinational employment agencies in Italy: GiGroup and analysing the point of view of people and workers with a survey created for the case study, with the aim to understand if the vision of workers is still tied up to the literature and if the margin of intervention of employment agencies to clarify their role in the mind of workers/candidates is present.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
