Business intelligence (BI) is generally defined as a technology-driven process of analyzing data and information to support decision-making, strategic planning, and performance management in organizations. Despite this, nowadays when we are talking about BI we can mean different things. For this reason I started analyzing three different approaches to BI: as Software, as Service and as Technology. Business intelligence (BI) software is a type of application that enables organizations to collect, integrate, analyze, and present data and information in a way that supports decision-making, strategic planning, and performance management. Business intelligence (BI) is a technology-driven process of analyzing data and information to support decision-making, strategic planning, and performance management in organizations. BI solutions integrate various data sources and technology, such as transactional systems, operational databases, external data sources, and unstructured data, to provide insights and actionable information to business users. Business intelligence (BI) as a service is a cloud-based solution that provides organizations with access to BI tools and services without the need for on-premises infrastructure or software. Then I described the many skills needed for BI implementation focusing not on the more technical ones such as databases and mathematical models but also the softer ones needed for the creation of effective dashboards Finally I talked about my personal experience trying to find out the answer to the following questions: ”How can the implementation of business intelligence bring greater efficiency to the company?”.

Abstract
Then I described the many skills needed for BI implementation focusing not on the more technical ones such as databases and mathematical models but also the softer ones needed for the creation of effective dashboards Finally I talked about my personal experience trying to find out the answer to the following questions: ”How can the implementation of business intelligence bring greater efficiency to the company?”.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
