The upgrade of the Large Hadron Collider(LHC) to an energy of 13 TeV in the centre-of-mass frame and the increment of instantaneous luminosity will allow to achieve a better understanding of the production mechanism underlying the production of heavy mesons. The study of heavy mesons composed by quarks like b and c will give a rich experimental scenario for the understanding of QCD, the theory of strong interactions. The goal of this analysis is the measurement of the cross section for the process pp\ -> Bc -> J/\psi pi and pp -> B+ -> J/psi K with 2016 data acquired with the Compact Muon Solenoid(CMS) detector performed in the J/\psi ->mu mu channel plus a charged track pi/K. This analysis was partly awed out at LIP centre of particle research in Lisboa with the support of the Erasmus Traineeships program.

Abstract
This analysis was partly awed out at LIP centre of particle research in Lisboa with the support of the Erasmus Traineeships program.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
