La Sharing economy: tra innovazione e regolamentazione: un'analisi del caso Airbnb.

This dissertation explores and describes the phenomenon of the Sharing economy, a rapidly developing sector which in recent years has caused transformations in the economic sphere, changing the way in which goods and services are offered and exchanged. The objective of the sharing economy is to allow the use of an asset without owning it, an idea that can be found in the Airbnb platform, leader of the sharing economy. Airbnb has revolutionized the tourism sector by allowing the rental of apartments or rooms at a very discounted price. In the second part of the thesis, tax and regulatory issues are explored in depth, which concern both the sharing economy and the specific case of the Airbnb platform. In conclusion, I have found that the Sharing economy represents a great opportunity for the future, especially when it concerns issues of accessibility of goods and sustainability, however there are still numerous regulatory issues that remain issues to be addressed and managed.

Questa tesi di laurea esplora e descrive il fenomeno della Sharing economy, un settore in rapido sviluppo che negli ultimi anni ha causato trasformazioni nella sfera economica, modificando il modo in cui beni e servizi vengono offerti e scambiati. L’obiettivo della Sharing economy è quello di consentire l’utilizzo di un bene senza possederlo, un’idea che si ritrova nella piattaforma Airbnb, leader della Sharing economy. Airbnb ha rivoluzionato il settore del turismo consentendo l'affitto di appartamenti o camere ad un prezzo agevolato. Nella seconda parte della tesi vengono approfondite le questioni fiscali e regolamentative, che riguardano sia la Sharing economy, sia il caso specifico della piattaforma Airbnb. In conclusione, ho riscontrato che la Sharing economy rappresenta una grande opportunità per il futuro, soprattutto quando riguarda i temi dell’accessibilità dei beni e della sostenibilità, tuttavia sono ancora numerose le questioni normative che restano questioni da affrontare e gestire.
