La rigenerazione in Ambystoma mexicanum

The following chapter will focus on the regenerative capabilities of Ambystoma mexicanum, and the thesis will conclude with a chapter that explores the current understanding and prospects that the study of such abilities offers.

In questo elaborato, lo scopo è quello di trattare l’argomento della rigenerazione sia in generale, sia con un focus sulle capacità specifiche di Ambystoma mexicanum, la nota salamandra neotenica messicana. Dopo un capitolo iniziale dedicato alla presentazione di Ambystoma mexicanum, verrà introdotto e approfondito il tema della rigenerazione, con i meccanismi attraverso cui viene espletata, e con alcuni esempi di organismi particolarmente interessanti in quest’ottica. Si procederà con un capitolo sulle capacità proprie di Ambystoma mexicanum, per poi concludere con un capitolo che esplora l’attuale conoscenza e future speranze che lo studio di tali abilità offre.
