The question of the origins of life has been the object of various studies of a large community of scientists. According with Miller's experiment and the hypothesis of Bernal, in this work a surface resembling minerals that were likely present on the early earth (Montmorillonite) was considered. To be through and for comparison, other mineral surfaces were then considered (SiO2 and TiO2). The interaction of Leucine with those minerals was studied. Other amino acids were also considered in order to have a comparison with the reactivity of Leu (Ala, Gly and Glu). Different techniques were considered, in order to study the behaviour of the amino acids on the mineral surface (selective adsorption, incipient wetness impregnation, hydrothermal treatment and chemical vapor deposition).

Abstract
The question of the origins of life has been the object of various studies of a large community of scientists. According with Miller's experiment and the hypothesis of Bernal, in this work a surface resembling minerals that were likely present on the early earth (Montmorillonite) was considered. To be through and for comparison, other mineral surfaces were then considered (SiO2 and TiO2). The interaction of Leucine with those minerals was studied. Other amino acids were also considered in order to have a comparison with the reactivity of Leu (Ala, Gly and Glu). Different techniques were considered, in order to study the behaviour of the amino acids on the mineral surface (selective adsorption, incipient wetness impregnation, hydrothermal treatment and chemical vapor deposition).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
