Le SPACs nel mercato italiano: variazione nel profilo dei sottoscrittori ed evoluzione del modello

The present research thesis has the ambitious objective to draw a clear outline of the Italian context of the SPAC, from 2011 (year of the first operation) to February 2019 (end of analysis). I tried to go beyond a simple examination of the model and the emblematic cases of the particular financial markets historical period in which they operated, responding to those that were my two main research questions: How has the profile of subscribers changed since 2011? How has the actual model evolved? The aim of the research was achieved through a scrupulous questionnaire addressed to the main experts of the sector (promoters, members of the Board of Directors, manager of Borsa Italiana, ..). What results is that the SPACs will have to evolve (under more points of view) to adapt to the momentum: will they be able to actually do it? Or will the gradual slowdown in the Italian context continue, just like in the US? Stay Tuned!

Il presente lavoro di tesi di ricerca si pone l'ambizioso obiettivo di tracciare un chiaro delineamento del contesto italiano delle SPAC, dal 2011 (anno della prima operazione) al Febbraio 2019 (fine dell'analisi). Si è cercato di andare oltre una semplice disamina del modello e dei casi emblematici testimonianti particolare periodo storico dei mercati finanziari in cui esse hanno operato, rispondendo a quelle che sono state le mie due principali domande di ricerca: Com'è cambiato il profilo dei sottoscrittori dal 2011? Come si è evoluto il modello vero e proprio? Lo scopo della ricerca è stato raggiunto attraverso uno scrupoloso questionario indirizzato ai principali esperti del settore (promotori, membri CdA, manager di Borsa Italiana,..). Ciò che ne è risultato è che le SPAC dovranno evolversi (sotto più punti di vista) per adattarsi al momentum: saranno in grado di farlo effettivamente? Oppure il rallentamento graduale nel contesto iitaliano continuerà, proprio come è successo negli USA? Stay Tuned!
