BLOCKCHAIN: RIVOLUZIONE O FALSO MITO?

With the advent of Bitcoin and the blockchain, many economic topics are evolving towards a new era. If we talk about blockchain we are talking about cryptocurrencies, Non-Fungible Token, or NFT, and smart contracts. Technological evolution brings a new way of approaching what already existed. The representation of artistic works, for example, their possession, authenticity and traceability are some of the changes that the blockchain has brought to today's reality. Furthermore, what is considered the greatest revolution in the economic-financial system, the advent of cryptocurrencies, is becoming increasingly popular in real life today. However, there are limits and adversities. Is decentralization of cryptocurrencies really a good thing? Who regulates cryptocurrencies? Who protects us from any malicious people? This paper seeks to answer these questions with an in-depth analysis of the impact of the phenomenon of blockchain technology over the past twenty years. ​

Con l’avvento dei Bitcoin e della blockchain molti temi dell’economia si evolvono verso una nuova era. Se si parla di blockchain si parla di criptovalute, di Non-Fungible Token, o NFT, e di smart contract. L’evoluzione tecnologica porta un nuovo modo di approcciarsi a ciò che già esisteva. La rappresentazione delle opere artistiche, ad esempio, il loro possesso, l’autenticità e la tracciabilità sono alcune delle modifiche che la blockchain ha apportato alla realtà odierna. Inoltre, quello che è considerata la più grande rivoluzione del sistema economico-finanziario, l’avvento delle criptovalute, oggi si sta affermando sempre di più nella vita reale. Ci sono però delle limitazioni e delle avversità. La decentralizzazione delle criptovalute è davvero un fatto positivo? chi regolamenta la criptovaluta? chi ci tutela da eventuali malintenzionati? Nel presente documento si cerca di rispondere a questi quesiti con un approfondimento sull’impatto del fenomeno della tecnologia blockchain nell’ultimo ventennio.
