Gravimetric analysis on typodont teeth has been proposed over the years as a standard method to analyze tooth substance removal [2]. Despite his precision in quantify the absolute total structure removal, this method does not provide any information on the quality (enamel or dentin) of the tissue preserved or removed. The concept of this study is to give an update of the old articles using modern technologies and to add information to what is already known by investigating the quality of the tooth structure removed and preserved. The aim of the present study will be to evaluate throw micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) the invasiveness of different preparation designs related to different materials indications in terms of total volume reduction and preservation of enamel and dentin. One of the main objectives of the study is to provide guidelines for choosing the most appropriate materials and restorative techniques based on clinical and scientific evidence. Additionally, the authors emphasize the importance of understanding dental anatomy and material properties to achieve satisfactory aesthetic and functional results in the long term.

Abstract
Additionally, the authors emphasize the importance of understanding dental anatomy and material properties to achieve satisfactory aesthetic and functional results in the long term.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
