The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the role of the digitalization in a HR perspective, with a specific focus on learning. Following the Covid-19 pandemic, it is critical for businesses to consider the implications and consequences of the urgent demand for digitalization in order to prepare themselves for the near future. If some years ago digitalization was not a priority for every business, now, more than ever, companies are facing new challenges which will lead them to change their way to manage their organization and their employees. The digitalization of learning and development department within a company is no exception. Therefore, the thesis will provide a general overview of new technologies, with a specific focus on their application in the learning and development field. Then, the Hermès case study will be analyzed to investigate what happened after the sanitary crisis and how HR adapted its learning tools. Finally, the impact of the new methods of teaching employees’ new skills will be evaluated.
