ABSTRACT From Salmoxis to Zalmoxe Salmoxis is one of those figures which still after millenniums continues to consume so much paper and to puzzle many historians and fans. The reason why this happens is simple: Salmoxis, in front of the myriad of "papyri" of which he is the subject, remains a great stranger. In our work we have tried to analyze the figure of this deity, from the point of view of the Sfinx; Romanian prog / experimental band of the communist period, which released the concept album Zalmoxe in 1979. ABSTRACT Da Salmoxis a Zalmoxe Salmoxis è una di quelle figure che, ancora dopo millenni, continua a far consumare tanta carta e a scervellare molti storici ed appassionati. Il motivo per cui questo avviene è semplice: Salmoxis,a fronte della miriade di ¿papiri¿ di cui è soggetto, rimane un grande sconosciuto. Nel nostro lavoro abbiamo cercato di analizzare la figura di questa divinità dal punto di vista degli Sfinx, band romena prog/sperimentale del periodo comunista, che nel 1979 pubblica il concept album Zalmoxe.
