Animali vittime della moda: il caso dell'industria della pelliccia

Many animal associations are trying to fight the fur market worldwide, that nowadays has become a huge problem. The dilemma arises in fur farms, where animals suffer tremendous abuses and where toxic fur clothes are produced due to the chemical substances used to avoid the rotting of animal skins, but also in the wild because of the terrible trapping methods, that sometimes create also nontargeted victims. To solve this, therefore, associations like LAV and Fur Free Alliance propose ethical solutions in respect of both animals and human health, but also of the environment, by promoting campaigns against fur, as well as projects to create a total fur free fashion: Animal Free Fashion and Fur Free Retailers programs. Fur customers need to understand that fur industry damages are common in all around the world; for this reason, my thesis offers a detailed analysis of three associations located in three different geographic areas that approach to the same issues in ways that sometimes are homogenous: how different populations approach to the same problem? How this affects the fur industry improvement?
