Nowadays, our society has been influenced by the arrival of Internet, changing our way to communicate, to inform and to do business. Industries are the integral part of the economy that carries out the production of goods. The industrial production is reaching the edge of a new industrial revolution, the fourth, where digitalized systems and Internet of Things are the main key points. This new revolution, similarly to the previous ones, will have repercussions on the community, mainly at work level: estimations demonstrate that the arrival of Industry 4.0, at global level, will create around 2 million new job but, at the same time, will have critical effects on less specialized professions (easily replaceable by algorithm). Thanks to the increasing globalization, processes like Supply Chain management and Logistics management, have become integral part of a company, and in order to be competitive in the market, they have to be renovated constantly. The thesis is going to illustrate how technologies are affecting the Logistics' flow and consequently how they have to adapt in relation to the Industry and customer's needs. In order to satisfy the increasing demand, the Logistic service is going to approach towards a new evolutionary process: the introduction of drones. In fact, the biggest player of E-commerce such as Amazon, and other world giants of distribution, like UPS and DHL, are testing their use. Therefore, this paper will explore how the technology evolution revolutionizes the Industry and consequently the Logistics process, and which are the positive and negative aspects. The final part will illustrate the new modes of transports and their pros and cons, providing the reader, current trend and future paths.

Abstract
The final part will illustrate the new modes of transports and their pros and cons, providing the reader, current trend and future paths.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
