Glossario Turistico: LA FERIA DE ABRIL

The present work of analysis springs from the desire to examine all aspects of the event of the Feria de abril of the city of Seville, as regards the historical-cultural part, but especially the linguistic part. I decided to consider this event, because during my time in Erasmus in the Andalusian capital I had the opportunity to participate in this wonderful festival, eagerly awaited by all its inhabitants. The main objective of this thesis is to write an accurate tourist glossary that allows anyone to access the Feria, thus being able to recognise all the uses, customs and traditions of the celebration. An on-the-spot survey was carried out, using evidence gathered that young people attending universities and men and women actively participating in the celebration. The thesis is divided into four chapters: in the first chapter an introduction of the Feria de abril is given, through a historical and cultural excursus. In the second chapter we are dedicated to identify and list the terms identifying the celebration and the materials used for the analysis. In the third chapter we concentrate on analysing the selected terms as lemmas, thanks to the consultation of the online dictionary of Real academia española. Finally, in the fourth chapter, the tourist glossary is being drawn up, which is useful for all those who wish to take part in this celebration. Thanks to this work it was possible to analyse some of the most important terms related to this event.

Il presente lavoro di analisi nasce dal desiderio di esaminare tutti gli aspetti dell'evento della Feria de Abril della città di Siviglia, per quanto riguarda la parte storico-culturale, ma sopratutto quella linguistica. Ho deciso di prendere in esame questo evento, perché durante il mio periodo trascorso in Erasmus nella ¿capitale¿ andalusa ho avuto l'occasione di partecipare a questa meraviglia festa, attesa con fervore da tutti i suoi abitanti. L'obiettivo principale di questa tesi di laurea è quello di redigere un glossario turistico accurato che permetta a chiunque di accedere alla Feria, potendo così riconoscere tutti gli usi, costumi e tradizioni della celebrazione. È stata condotta un'indagine in loco, ricorrendo a delle testimonianze raccolte che vedevano come campione giovani che frequentano l'università e uomini e donne che partecipano attivamente alla celebrazione. La tesi è articolata in quattro capitoli: nel primo capitolo viene fornita un'introduzione della Feria de Abril, attraverso un excursus storico e culturale. Nel secondo capitolo ci si dedica ad individuare ed elencare i termini identificativi della celebrazione e i materiali utilizzati per l'analisi. Nel terzo capitolo ci si concentra nell'analizzare i termini selezionati come lemmi, grazie alla consultazione del dizionario online della Real Academia Española. Nel quarto capitolo, infine, si procede a redigere il glossario turistico, utile per tutti coloro che desiderano partecipare a questa festa. Grazie a questo lavoro è stato possibile analizzare alcuni dei più importanti termini legati a questo evento.
