La coppa di Hasanlu: una testimonianza multiculturale

The dissertation focuses on the Hasanlu gold bowl, a vessel from the north-west of Iran, south to the Urmia Lake. Firstly the work describes the site, its geographical context, its history and the history of the archaeological researches. Then the work shows the context of finding, and there is an attempt to identify the ethnic provenience of the local population and of the enemies who destroyed the site. Next the work explains the different hypothesis on the chronological aspects and on the place where the bowl was made. Finally the dissertation presents the different hypothesis on the interpretations of the figurative representations on the bowl.​

La trattazione ha l'obbiettivo di presentare la coppa di Hasanlu, un manufatto in oro proveniente da Teppe Hasanlu, sito archeologico dell'Iran nord occidentale a sud del Lago Urmia. Si tratta inizialmente del sito, della sua posizione geografica e della sua storia, per poi esporre brevemente la storia delle ricerche. In seguito si presenta il contesto di ritrovamento: un attacco nemico ha distrutto il sito e si discute quindi dell'etnia di assaliti e assalitori. Si tratta poi della datazione e del luogo di produzione del manufatto, entrambi aspetti problematici. La coppa presenta decorazioni figurative sia sulle pareti che sul fondo. Nella trattazione si analizzano quindi le diverse interpretazioni iconografiche proposte da vari autori. ​
