Population Dynamics represents a particular branch of life sciences that analyses all those dynamics to which a population is exposed. We can define a population as a system of interacting and interdependent elements, and this discipline deals with those systems that are dynamical, which means that they are subjected to some evolution over time. Moreover, the mathematical models used to construct the various Population Dynamics theories highlight the processes of growth (changes in size and composition of a population), invasions and epidemics, starting from a detailed analysis of the current status and the environmental conditions which characterize that system. It is also important to underline that Population Dynamics studies both single-species population models and multi-species population models; however in this dissertation I am going to describe only the first ones, making use of Ordinary Differential Equations. First of all, we are going to focus on the basic elements from which we have to start in order to construct a model of Population Dynamics.

Abstract
First of all, we are going to focus on the basic elements from which we have to start in order to construct a model of Population Dynamics.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
