This paper is the result of detailed research about the evolving digitalization in the banking sector. The aim of this thesis is to study the cornerstones of this process, addressing the general issues comprehensively, providing an overview without neglecting the significant details, from international sources and projections. In the first chapter, the evolutionary process of the banking universe will be retraced and analysed, starting from the earliest forms of exchange up to the most innovative payment models of today; from barter to money, passing through the inevitable and consequent birth of an entity responsible for its administration and protection: the bank. The bank, which with its advent changed the fate of mankind forever. An overview of the evolution of this sector will then be given, including the role it played during the conflicts (especially with reference to the First and Second World Wars), before illustrating the stages that led the bank to become what we know today. The second chapter consists of an in-depth study of the banking universe today, focusing on the impact that digitalisation has had and continues to have on its metamorphosis and essence, while the next section presents a study that is more focused on the humanistic aspect and the long journey made by human resources, a fundamental factor that has had to and was able to adapt. In this chapter in particular, the focus is on the customer's approach to the bank, be it digital or physical, the consequences of the use of predictive analytics and the impact that the COVID - 19 pandemic has had on the issue. The paper then presents a final chapter entirely focused on future prospects: what can we still expect from digitalisation? What are the trends and predictions for future decades? And more, how will people adapt to new changes? The conclusion follows, with personal reflections to draw the lines of the subject illustrated. details, from international sources and projections.

Abstract
The conclusion follows, with personal reflections to draw the lines of the subject illustrated. details, from international sources and projections.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
