In the view of an innovative, efficient and circular vision of rethinking the relationships between people, activities and resources, the application of circular models on the territory offers the possibility to design a system aimed at the enhancement of culture and local identity, producing sustainable and collective development. Imagining to apply a sustainable design model on a territorial scale, it will be presented a proposal for a sustainable development of the local territory that starts from including three small production companies located in the territory of Abruzzo. The proposal relates these small enterprises on the same territory which constitute a system where the outputs of one reality act as inputs for another, encouraging a production culture tending to zero emissions and generating a system that is able to grow for autopoiesis, highlighting all the subsequent benefits that may derive from it. The proposal is designed as a tool aimed not only to a more conscious use of resources in the area, aiming to reduce food waste, but also as a means of enhancing the local product: the final result is an example of a replicable circular economy model and an enhancement of the reality and products of the territory. The proposed study would be the starting point for the development of a bio-region. Through a multiscale approach, the project could expand on the territory, expanding according to a program shared by other realities and communities, finalizing the idea of growth and development on an economy compatible with the environment.

Abstract
Over the last decade, awareness of the unsustainability of the linear model and the crisis of raw materials is growing more and more, bringing to light the need to rethink business models and relations between businesses. The "take, make, dispose" system must be replaced by "reduce, reuse, recycle" one, a concept that lies at the base of the circular economy. There are many empirical cases of small and large companies that today seek to implement a more sustainable production model, or that arise directly on the basis of a circular model. The application of the circular model is present in various sectors: the present work tries to investigate which are the main circular models advanced in terms of sustainable development on a territorial scale. In particular, the concepts of bioregion, the design through systemic design and the doughnut economy model will be analysed and, consequently, what are the benefits deriving from the application of these principles. Through a multiscale approach, the project could expand on the territory, expanding according to a program shared by other realities and communities, finalizing the idea of growth and development on an economy compatible with the environment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
