The organizational structure is important for any growing company to provide guidance and clarity on responsibilities and reporting relationships. Having a well-defined organizational structure helps allows you to: improve decision making and communication, help with employee engagement, provide a visual directory and it serves as a management planning tool. I therefore chose to use the Alibaba business model as a case study in my thesis because I strongly believe in the success of this company. In the second and third chapters I have chosen to analyze in detail the types of business models and the organizational structure. In the fourth, fifth and sixth chapters, I first focused on a general over view of the company, then I went into its organizational structure and in comparison with the main competitor Amazon.

Abstract
The organizational structure is important for any growing company to provide guidance and clarity on responsibilities and reporting relationships. Having a well-defined organizational structure helps allows you to: improve decision making and communication, help with employee engagement, provide a visual directory and it serves as a management planning tool. I therefore chose to use the Alibaba business model as a case study in my thesis because I strongly believe in the success of this company. In the second and third chapters I have chosen to analyze in detail the types of business models and the organizational structure. In the fourth, fifth and sixth chapters, I first focused on a general over view of the company, then I went into its organizational structure and in comparison with the main competitor Amazon.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
