The relevance of the chosen topic is associated with the growing role of logistics in the field of business and trade, both at the national and international levels. It is important to note that logistics in its applied meaning is inextricably linked with mathematical science, since it uses mathematical methods to solve many problems, such as: making short-term decisions, creating logical models of real logistics processes, solving problems of calculating the optimal order size, determining demand on the item and so on. In this thesis we will analyze the most important aspects of logistics in their relationship with mathematical science, and also, using practical examples, consider the applicability of mathematical models in solving logistics problems. The objective: study the information on the subject of “mathematical models in logistics” and demonstrate application of given models for resolving real logistics problems. The thesis consists of the introduction, three sections, the conclusion and the list of the used literature.
