Imagine you are a woman, employed as a secretary, and all around you a crowd of men with more relevant tasks, a superior degree of responsibility, and tangible opportunities for career advancement. Imagine you are an overweight woman, and colleagues or bosses do not consider you as they normally would do with better-looking women. Imagine you are a mother, employed as a front-desk receptionist at a small hotel, working on shifts, and you have a sudden problem with your children and must leave immediately the workplace. Who’s going to cover the reception desk? Your boss would say “call your colleagues and ask who’s willing/able to cover you and then you will return the favor”. Would you call upon your colleagues during their rest day and ask for them to work more because you need to leave? And besides this, in case they will do, is it worth it that you must wait for them to come and cannot face your family's urgency in time? Imagine you have particularly dangerous conditions during early pregnancy and must quit working for some months than expected, and also after baby birth you need some extra months to find a solution for the baby, and be treated will less importance or relevance because you were absent for almost a year while you were creating a new life? Would a downgraded job be fair for such a woman? Well, I am a woman, mother, wife, and recently student again. I would like this work to make up a further evidence of the fact that what matters the most in the life of every individual, male or female, younger or older, is trying their best to achieve their goals in a way that they may have the most satisfying time during their lives.

Abstract
I would like this work to make up a further evidence of the fact that what matters the most in the life of every individual, male or female, younger or older, is trying their best to achieve their goals in a way that they may have the most satisfying time during their lives.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
