The present dissertation aims to develop a valuation technique that, based on regression analysis, can be used as a complementary method to the traditional ones – such as the discounted cash flow analysis and the comparable companies analysis - for the determination of the enterprise value of any company. The goal is about understanding whether this new potential method proves more accurate with respect two specified multiples: EV/EBIT and EV/Sales. It is clear that a consistent number of valuation techniques, which enjoy of international approval, already exist, but, nonetheless, the regression model aims to add an extra perspective and serve as a further indicator of the firm's fair value. Findings will help to understand, and clarify, whether regression analysis could be a reliable valuation approach or not.
