In the last 10 years fluvial geomorphology has experienced a great development thanks to the IDRAIM (System of IDRomorphological evaluation, Analysis and Monitoring of the water courses) metodology. This system was realized in order to develop an all-rounded metodology which supports the management of geomorphological processes that happen in the rivers, considering quality and safety as goals, pursuant to 2000/60/CE and 2007/60/CE legislations. This method focuses on the aspects of the morphologic dynamic in the last 100-150 years, a temporal horizon quite long to consider the variations of the geomorphological processes. It was born in 2008 in order to have rules to analyze, handle and check the rivers; one of the tools for these goals is the Morphological Quality Index. This is a method that involves the use of both GIS and land surveys; it was adopted with the Decree of the Environment Ministry n. 260/2010 and indicates the methods for the classification of chemical, biological and idromorphological state.

Abstract
260/2010 and indicates the methods for the classification of chemical, biological and idromorphological state.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
