The aim of this thesis is to provide a better insight and documentation for a specific portion of the Linux scheduler, more precisely the flags used by the scheduling domains. In order to do so, it is necessary to explain some concepts about how the Linux scheduler works, what are the scheduling domains and how they are used, especially in relation with the underlying topology. Next will be provided a detailed explanation on each one of the flags, showing and explaining where in the code they become relevant, followed by the documentation of the kernel analysis process. Finally, the last chapter illustrates the effects of said flags on the system according with the results of some experiments performed. The version of the Linux Kernel discussed in this thesis is 5.3.0-45

Abstract
The version of the Linux Kernel discussed in this thesis is 5.3.0-45File | Dimensione | Formato | |
