Although the management and treatment of wounds is not a new topic, a common direction has not yet been found, the medical field offers various methods of treatment often discordant between them. The appearance of negative pressure therapy has brought a great revolution in wound management. This paper explores the topic of negative pressure therapy and illustrates a general picture of the progress that is increasing in the field of wound care, which is transforming the approach to acute and chronic injuries.

Nonostante la gestione e la cura delle ferite non sia un argomento nuovo non si è ancora trovato una direzione comune, il campo medico offre varie modalità di trattamento spesso discordanti tra di loro. La comparsa della terapia a pressione negativa ha portato una grande rivoluzione nella gestione delle ferite. Con il presente elaborato si è esplorato il tema della terapia a pressione negativa illustrando un quadro generale del progresso che si sta incrementando nel campo della wound care, che sta trasformando il metodo di approccio alle ferite acute e croniche.
