The concept of Financial Inclusion is rather new. With many diverse de?nitions within the literature, we try to assess the role, the measures and the implications of such a framework and its relationship with educationary policies. In the ?rst chapter we go through the main elements and topics of the Financial Inclusion agenda literature and the themes and barriers that such a framework has encountered so far. Also, we make a clear distinction between the demand-side and supply-side factors that are mentioned as determinants of the level of Financial Inclusion in a country. In the second chapter we analyse the Global Findex Database dataset, we outline the main features of the dataset and then explicit our empirical methodology, involving the probit analysis of the determinants of access, usage and voluntariness. In the ?nal chapter we analyse the results of our empirical analysis and assess supporting evidence toward the positive impact of the educational level on the overall Financial Inclusion, but also highlight some possible limits to this approach, especially connected with regional situations and voluntary exclusion.
