This work answers the research question "Can the work of art be considered a financial investment?" through the analysis of the existing literature on this subject, together with the opinions of some professionals in the sector gathered during the interviews we conducted. The work is structured as follows: an overview of the art market is accompanied by a synthesis of the current phenomenon of financialization of artistic assets; we then analyzed the factors that influence the price variations of works of art. The study of the available information led us to interesting conclusions, illustrated at the end of the work.
