Antologia poetica della questione amorosa nel Libro de Buen Amor

At the base of the essay there is the study and analysis of two opposite concepts of love in the "Libro de Buen Amor". In the text the Buen Amor, spiritual and addressed to God, clashes with the Loco Amor, erotic and dedicated to a woman. The protagonist tries to orient himself towards faith, however he is also drawn and sometimes overwhelmed by passion because of its own biological inclination. The Loco Amor is examined, demolished and recomposed by the author's words because it is considered to be the origin of every evil and suffering. The primary goal is to provide the readers a handbook to avoid falling into the traps of Amore throughout the account of his misadventures. The study of the literary work is articulated starting from a general introduction in which the content and literary origins are analysed. Subsequently the amorous issue is discussed. Firstly the various accusations that the author expresses are taken into consideration, inspecting also the lexicon chosen. Secondly I go through the motivations that encourage the protagonist, and in general the human being, to leave himself to his own drives. Particular attention is given to the value of literary works and their function in society. A dear topic to the author who insists several times on the importance of recollection. The study seeks to respond to two remarkable questions of the work under consideration: to which love should entrust oneself? And to what extent can the human being benefit from his own rationality when he is overwhelmed by passion?

Alla base dell’elaborato vi è lo studio di due visioni contrapposte dell’Amore, analizzate a partire dal Libro de Buen Amor. Nel testo si scontrano il buen amor, spirituale e rivolto a Dio, e il loco amor, carnale e dedicato ad una donna. Il protagonista cerca di orientarsi verso la fede, ma per sua propria inclinazione biologica, è anche attratto e a volte travolto dalla passione. Il loco amor viene esaminato, distrutto e ricomposto dalle parole dell’autore, perché considerato l’origine di ogni male e sofferenza. L’obbiettivo primario è quello di fornire, attraverso il racconto delle sue disavventure, ai lettori un manuale per evitare di cadere nelle trappole di Amore. Lo studio dell’opera si articola a partire da un’introduzione generale, in cui si analizzano il contenuto e le origini letterarie. Si sviluppa di seguito il tema della questione amorosa. Si prendono prima in considerazione le varie accuse che l’autore espone, con un’analisi del lessico scelto. Secondariamente si passano in rassegna le motivazioni che spingono il protagonista, e più in generale l’essere umano, ad affidarsi alle proprie pulsioni. Si presta particolare attenzione al valore delle opere letterarie e alla loro funzione nella società. Argomento caro all’autore del testo che più volte insiste sull’importanza della memoria. Lo studio cercherà di rispondere a due grandi interrogativi dell’opera in esame: a quale amore è bene affidarsi? E in che misura l’uomo può usufruire della propria razionalità quando si trova travolto dalla passione?
