Economia agraria del cuneese. Risultanze dell'indagine promossa dall'INEA nel primo dopoguerra

The basis of this study is the analysis of the investigation into the small agricultural property formed after the war, conducted by INEA (National Institute of Agricultural Economics). In particular, the focus is on the study of the agricultural property formed in Piedmont in the period following the war. Furthermore, the reality of Cuneo and its province in that period will be analyzed more closely. The motivation to investigate this issue is due to the interest matured in the economic history of that period and also from the desire to reconstruct the many changes that have occurred in the agricultural economy. These were - in general - the motivational basis for the following thesis. The goal of this work was to conduct an accurate analysis of the data collected in the INEA investigation, the intent of which was to direct the farming property towards a more suitable production system. The thesis is divided into five chapters: the first provides an introduction to the National Institute of Agricultural Economics. The second deals with developing the general project by comparing it with the previous investigation by Stefano Jacini. The third chapter focuses on the survey conducted on Piedmont, describing the agricultural, industrial and commercial profile of reference. In the fourth chapter we go more specifically by analyzing the situation in Cuneo, where we tried to identify the crop transformations and the conditions of the cultivating property. In the fifth chapter, the province of Cuneo was compared with another province of Piedmont, Turin. Numerous books on the subject and newspaper articles were used in the analysis.

Alla base di questo studio vi è l’analisi dell’inchiesta sulla piccola proprietà coltivatrice formatasi nel dopoguerra, condotta dall’INEA (Istituto Nazionale di Economia Agraria). In particolare, si pone l’attenzione sullo studio della proprietà coltivatrice formatasi in Piemonte nel periodo successivo alla guerra. Inoltre, verrà analizzata più da vicino la realtà di Cuneo e della sua provincia in quel periodo. La motivazione ad approfondire tale tema è dovuta dall’interesse maturato nei confronti della storia economica di quel periodo e anche dalla volontà di ricostruire i molteplici cambiamenti avvenuti nell’economia agraria. Queste sono state – in linea generale – le basi motivazionali per la seguente tesi. L’obiettivo di questo lavoro è stato quello di condurre un’analisi accurata dei dati raccolti nell’inchiesta dell’INEA, il cui intento fu quello di indirizzare la proprietà coltivatrice verso un ordinamento produttivo più adatto. La tesi è articolata in cinque capitoli: nel primo viene fornita un’introduzione sull'Istituto Nazionale di Economia Agraria. Nel secondo ci si occupa di sviluppare il progetto generale mettendolo a confronto con la precedente inchiesta di Stefano Jacini. Il terzo capitolo si concentra sull’ indagine condotta sul Piemonte, descrivendo il profilo agricolo, industriale e commerciale di riferimento. Nel quarto capitolo andiamo più nello specifico analizzando la situazione su Cuneo, dove si è cercato di individuare le trasformazioni colturali e le condizioni della proprietà coltivatrice. Nel quinto capitolo si è messa a confronto la provincia di Cuneo con un'altra provincia del Piemonte, Torino. Nell'analisi sono stati utilizzati numerosi libri inerenti all'argomento e degli articoli di giornale.
