Climate change is inevitably affecting several parts of our way of doing business. New restrictions and regulations on the emissions of GHG has proved to be effective, but only if more stringent measures are adopted. The consequences of this phenomenon are multifaced and can impact businesses, and thus the economy, in different ways. This dissertation provide evidence on how the market value of a company is impacted by climate change related events, climate risk, company’s environmental profile and environmental conduct and finally, GHG emissions.
