Dipendenza da alcol e sostanze: una riflessione sui processi di iatrogenesi

This thesis is meant to highlight the relationship between people who have or have had an addiction to alcohol and substances and the process of iatrogenesis, i.e. the development (growth) of a new form of addiction, addressed, in the case in question, to the services applied to these people. To do this, a section has been dedicated to the theme of addiction, the fulcrum of which is represented by the paragraph dedicated to the factors that can lead to the growth of the same, another one to that of iatrogenesis (treated in its various aspects) and a third to aspects further characterizing people who attend the service where i work. While not being able to statistically confirm the veracity of the above, I then wanted to propose a solution by hypothesizing that design, a cornerstone of educational work, could be a good tool to overcome any iatrogenic processes. I then exposed two possible work reorganizations, starting from my personal experience: project work and the use of the health budget. My thought is that working with objectives to be achieved can help not only the operator, but also and above all the person with and for whom the intervention was designed.

Con questa tesi ho voluto mettere in luce il rapporto tra le persone che hanno o hanno avuto una dipendenza da alcol e sostanze e il processo di iatrogenesi, ossia lo sviluppo di una nuova forma di dipendenza, rivolta, nel caso in questione, ai servizi che si dedicano a questi individui. Per fare questo è stato dedicato un capitolo al tema della dipendenza, il cui fulcro è rappresentato dal paragrafo dedicato ai fattori che possono portare alla nascita della stessa, uno a quello della iatrogenesi (trattata nei suoi vari aspetti) e un terzo a ulteriori aspetti caratterizzanti le persone che frequentano il mio servizio di lavoro. Pur non potendo confermare statisticamente la veridicità di quanto esposto, ho voluto poi proporre una soluzione ipotizzando che la progettazione, strumento cardine del lavoro educativo, possa essere un buon strumento per ovviare a eventuali processi iatrogeni. Ho quindi esposto due possibili riorganizzazioni lavorative, a partire dalla mia esperienza personale: il lavoro per progetti e l’utilizzo del budget di salute. Il mio pensiero è che lavorare avendo degli obiettivi da raggiungere possa aiutare non solo l’operatore, ma anche e soprattutto la persona con e per cui l’intervento è stato costruito.
