Medicine is going through a period of great tension and the problems it has to face every day are strictly related to the different health system dimensions: economic, political, social, humanistic and scientific aspects. More and more it is required to healthcare professionals to answer to all that complex questions which are necessarily involved in the care process. Up to now, it has occurred that ethical issues concerning important themes such as health value, rights, person dignity and justice, risked to be subordinated to political organizations, practices and restrictions: ethical behaviors in clear contrast with economic rationality. Medicine is in crisis because reducing the choice for healthcare professionals in "prepacked" procedural actions is actually limiting. This should be a warning sign, there is a growing need for a new model of medicine which recovers some aspects of that Hippocratic ideal characterized by the integrity of personal care: every individual is a system composed of multiple components as psyche, soma, family, society and environment in constant interaction one each other. These reflections are connected to a new scientific approach in which the natural phenomena are no longer justified by linear deterministic causes only, but also by a circular vision which brings to a new interpretation of the natural matter. A new health system would require a deep change of model contents. My desire and my will was to go throught these topics.

Abstract
My desire and my will was to go throught these topics.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
