Extracellular Vesicles are endogenous structures originating from cells, consisting of a phospholipidic bilayer that can contain various biological material. Among their many applications, these structures can be exploited in cancer therapy as innovative platforms for the delivery of molecules in the tumor tissue. In the present work, there will be an overview of some of the new technologies based on the engineering of EVs for the development of therapeutic strategies in the treatment of cancer. Furthermore, there will be the discussion of the various advantages and limits of using this kind of approach compared to classic therapeutic techniques.

Abstract
Extracellular Vesicles are endogenous structures originating from cells, consisting of a phospholipidic bilayer that can contain various biological material. Among their many applications, these structures can be exploited in cancer therapy as innovative platforms for the delivery of molecules in the tumor tissue. In the present work, there will be an overview of some of the new technologies based on the engineering of EVs for the development of therapeutic strategies in the treatment of cancer. Furthermore, there will be the discussion of the various advantages and limits of using this kind of approach compared to classic therapeutic techniques.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
