Cybercinema. Il rapporto emotivo tra umani e intelligenze artificiali nella storia del cinema

This work intends to provide an overview of the relationship between AI and cinema through a historical analysis-ranging from the early twentieth century to the present day-which is necessary to understand its evolution by examining various sources. It also aims to assess the emotional relationship between man and machine, examining how the representation of this , understood as AI, is perceived by viewers and how it influences them in the context of media, through the theory of embodiment. An additional aspect considered concerns robotics, linked to the analysis of a specific case, the movie Ex Machina by Alex Garland.

Quest’elaborato intende fornire una visione generale del rapporto che intercorre tra IA e cinema attraverso un’analisi storica – che va dagli inizi del Novecento ai giorni nostri - necessaria per comprenderne l’evoluzione, prendendo in esame varie fonti. Inoltre intende valutare la relazione emotiva tra uomo e macchina, esaminando come la rappresentazione di questa , intesa come IA, sia percepita dagli spettatori e come li influenzi nel contesto dei media, tramite la teoria dell’embodiment. Un ulteriore aspetto preso in considerazione riguarda la robotica, collegato all’analisi di un caso specifico, il film Ex Machina di Alex Garland.
