I femminismi attraverso le lenti del postumanesimo

Feminist thought has undergone a complex theoretical and political evolution, questioning dominant categories and redefining social dynamics. This thesis analyzes feminisms through the lens of philosophical posthumanism, exploring how it can provide critical tools to deconstruct the concept of humanity and understand gender discrimination. It traces the history of gender discrimination through the different waves of feminist movements up to the intersectional approach of more recent phases. It introduces posthumanism as a critical perspective on traditional humanism, analyzing the implications of post-anthropocentrism, post-dualism and new materialism. Finally, it integrates feminist and posthumanist thinking, focusing on ectogenesis and its implications for motherhood and corporeality, as well as on a re-elaboration of the ethics of care that includes non-human and technological subjectivities. Through this analysis, the thesis demonstrates how the dialogue between feminism and posthumanism can offer new perspectives for rethinking identity, social justice, and relationships between living and non-living entities.

Il pensiero femminista ha attraversato un’evoluzione teorica e politica complessa, mettendo in discussione le categorie dominanti e ridefinendo le dinamiche sociali. L'elaborato analizza i femminismi attraverso le lenti del postumanesimo filosofico, esplorando come quest’ultimo possa offrire strumenti critici per decostruire la rappresentazione di umanità ereditata dall'Umanesimo e comprendere le discriminazioni di genere. Ripercorre dunque la storia dei movimenti femministi fino all’approccio intersezionale delle fasi più recenti. Introduce il postumanesimo come prospettiva critica all’umanesimo tradizionale, analizzando le implicazioni del post-antropocentrismo, del post-dualismo e del neomaterialismo. Integra infine pensiero femminista e postumanesimo, con un focus sull’ectogenesi e sulle sue implicazioni per la maternità e la corporeità, nonché su una rielaborazione dell’etica della cura che includa soggettività non umane e tecnologiche.
