La censura teatrale nel secondo dopoguerra: i casi di Vitaliano Brancati e Giovanni Testori

This thesis analyzes the transition from Fascist theater censorship to that exercised by the Christian Democracy after World War II. The cases of two important playwrights, Vitaliano Brancati and Giovanni Testori, are examined, focusing on the plays La Governante and L'Arialda, and the reasons that led to both being obstructed by censorship and no longer being performed in public for a long period.

La presente tesi analizza il passaggio dalla censura teatrale fascista a quella esercitata dalla Democrazia Cristiana nel secondo dopoguerra. Vengono esaminati i casi di due importanti drammaturghi: Vitaliano Brancati e Giovanni Testori, focalizzandosi sulle opere La Governante e L'Arialda e sulle motivazioni che hanno portato entrambe ad essere ostacolate dalla censura e a non essere più rappresentate in pubblico per un lungo periodo.
