Berlin Alexanderplatz, proposta di una nuova traduzione e commento

This thesis proposes a new translation of the first ten chapters of Alfred Döblin's work “Berlin Alexanderplatz”. The work focuses on a re-reading and re-translation of the text in the light of the linguistic and cultural changes that have occurred since the publication of the first Italian translation. The thesis includes a comparison between the existing translation and the proposed one, examining the linguistic and interpretative choices, as well as the treatment of the particularities of Döblin's language, such as the inner monologue, dialectal inflections and cultural references. The final comment dwells on the difficulties encountered during the translation process and the strategies applied.

La presente tesi propone una nuova traduzione dei primi dieci capitoli di "Berlin Alexanderplatz" di Alfred Döblin. Il lavoro si concentra su una rilettura e ritraduzione del testo, alla luce dei mutamenti linguistici e culturali intercorsi dalla pubblicazione della prima traduzione italiana. La tesi include una comparazione tra la traduzione già esistente e quella proposta, esaminando le scelte linguistiche e interpretative, nonchè il trattamento delle particolarità del linguaggio di Döblin, come il monologo interiore, le inflessioni dialettali e i riferimenti culturali. Il commento finale si sofferma sulle difficoltà incontrate durante il processo traduttivo e sulle strategie applicate.
