Nietzsche e il problema della seconda natura

The paper addresses the problem of second nature in the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. The interpretative paradigms of vitalism and naturalism have found in Nietzsche's philosophy the presence of an exclusively critical attitude towards culture, interpreting the concept of "life" only in biological-natural terms. Instead, it will be a matter of showing the fundamental value attributed by Nietzsche to culture with respect to the human work of organizing instincts and passions and building one's own "style" of life. The animal and natural forces that constitute the "first nature" of the human being must be stripped of their destructive potential and elevated to form by means of an artfully forged "second nature".

Il lavoro affronta il problema della seconda natura nella filosofia di Friedrich Nietzsche. I paradigmi interpretativi del vitalismo e del naturalismo hanno rinvenuto nella filosofia nietzschiana la presenza di un atteggiamento esclusivamente critico nei confronti della cultura, interpretando il concetto di "vita" solamente in termini biologico-naturali. Si tratterà di mostrare, invece, il valore fondamentale attribuito da Nietzsche alla cultura nel lavoro umano di organizzazione degli istinti e delle passioni e di costruzione del proprio "stile" di vita. Le forze vitali che costituiscono la "prima natura" dell'essere umano devono essere spogliate del loro potenziale distruttivo ed elevate alla forma per mezzo di una "seconda natura" forgiata ad arte.
