The thesis analyzes the activity of the Galliari brothers in the 18th century. The first chapter frames the historical and artistic context, delving into the evolution of 18th-century theater and stage design, the places where they worked, and the influences that shaped their style. The second chapter examines the figure of their father, Giovanni Galliari, and explores the role of the brothers, analyzing their scenographic and pictorial works. The third chapter is dedicated to their production in Biella, highlighting the works created for the city by the Galliari family and their descendants. The aim is to reconstruct their contribution to 18th-century scenography and painting, emphasizing their role in the artistic landscape of the time.

La tesi analizza l’attività dei fratelli Galliari nel XVIII secolo. Il primo capitolo inquadra il contesto storico-artistico, approfondendo l’evoluzione del teatro e della scenografia settecentesca, i luoghi in cui operarono e le influenze che ne segnarono lo stile. Il secondo capitolo esamina la figura del padre, Giovanni Galliari, e approfondisce il ruolo dei fratelli, analizzandone le opere scenografiche e pittoriche. Il terzo capitolo è dedicato alla produzione biellese, mettendo in luce le opere eseguite per la città dai Galliari e dai loro discendenti. L’obiettivo è ricostruire il loro contributo alla scenografia e alla pittura settecentesca, evidenziandone il ruolo nel panorama artistico dell’epoca.
