Cyberbullismo e Generazione Alpha

This thesis starts by talking about the development of digitalization within society, highlighting the daily use of technological tools such as phones, computers and tablets and the development of social media. In particular, the generation that has been most affected by its effects and consequences was the alpha generation which includes children born in the first half of 2010 until mid-2020. This generation is especially at risk due to the incorrect use of social media, such as the phenomenon of cyberbullying. Next, we talk about the cyberbullying, how it develops among young people in the pre-adolescent and adolescent phase and what consequences arise. The figures involved in this phenomenon are highlighted as the cybervictim and the cyberbully, the relationship between them, the importance of the role of the parent, the relationship between parents and the persons involved, as well as the reasons and considerations that lead cyberbullies to engage in negative behaviour towards their victims. In addition, we also talk about the various forms of cyberbullying present in the web and social media. To conclude, the different ways of preventing cyberbullying or finding solutions so that no serious consequences occur, for example confronting figures such as the psychologist both within and outside the school environment, are highlighted, social and cultural projects such as SIA and to interact with parents, teachers and reference figures or structures.

Questa tesi inizia parlando dello sviluppo della digitalizzazione all’interno della società, evidenziando l’utilizzo quotidiano di strumenti tecnologici come telefoni, computer e tablet e lo sviluppo dei social media. In particolare, la Generazione che ne ha risentito maggiormente gli effetti e le conseguenze è stata la Generazione alpha che comprende i bambini nati nella prima metà del 2010 fino alla metà del 2020. Questa generazione corre soprattutto dei rischi a causa dell’uso non corretto dei social, come per esempio il fenomeno del Cyberbullismo. Successivamente si parla del Cyberbullismo, di come si sviluppa tra i giovani nella fase preadolescenziale e adolescenziale e quali conseguenze ne derivano. Vengono evidenziate le figure coinvolte in tale fenomeno come la cyvervittima e il cyberbullo, il rapporto tra di loro, l’importanza del ruolo del genitore, la relazione fra genitori e le figure coinvolte e anche i motivi e considerazioni che spingono il cyberbullo ad attuare comportamenti negativi verso le vittime. Inoltre, si parla anche delle varie forme di Cyberbullismo presenti nel web e social media. Per concludere si sottolineano i diversi modi per poter prevenire il cyberbullismo o trovare delle soluzioni affinché non accadano conseguenze gravi, per esempio confrontarsi con figure come lo psicologo all’interno sia dell’ambiente scolastico che al di fuori, progetti sociali e culturali come SIA e interfacciarsi con i propri genitori, maestre e figure o strutture di riferimento.
