Impatto dell'intelligienza artificiale nella contabilità delle ong: il caso ONU.

This thesis aims to provide an in-depth overview of the impact of AI in NGO accounting with a focus on the experience of the United Nations (UN). This compilation thesis aims to: • describe the evolution of AI in accounting and its impact on non-profit organizations; • analyze the technologies used in the automation of accounting processes with a focus on tools such as machine learning, Robotic Process Automation and Blockchain; • examine how the UN and other international NGOs are implementing AI to improve financial management; • discuss the benefits and critical issues related to the adoption of AI in NGOs highlighting the risks related to data security, ethics and financial transparency; • provide an outlook on possible future evolutions by analyzing technological and regulatory developments in AI applied to accounting. This thesis will provide a structured and updated summary of the main applications of AI in NGO accounting by offering: • an overview of emerging technologies and their implications for the non-profit sector; • a collection of concrete examples based on official documentation and case studies of international organizations; • an analysis of the opportunities and critical issues related to the use of AI in financial management, with particular attention to regulatory and ethical aspects; • a framework on future prospects useful for understanding the role that AI may assume in the accounting sector of NGOs in the coming years.

Questa tesi si propone di offrire una panoramica approfondita sull’impatto dell’IA nella contabilità delle ONG con particolare attenzione all’esperienza dell’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite (ONU). Questa tesi compilativa si propone di: • descrivere l’evoluzione dell’IA nella contabilità e il suo impatto sulle organizzazioni non profit; • analizzare le tecnologie impiegate nell’automazione dei processi contabili con particolare attenzione a strumenti come il machine learning, la Robotic Process Automation e la Blockchain; • esaminare le modalità con cui l’ONU e altre ONG internazionali stanno implementando l’IA per migliorare la gestione finanziaria; • discutere i benefici e le criticità connesse all’adozione dell’IA nelle ONG evidenziando i rischi legati alla sicurezza dei dati, all’etica e alla trasparenza finanziaria; • fornire una prospettiva sulle possibili evoluzioni future analizzando gli sviluppi tecnologici e normativi in materia di IA applicata alla contabilità. Questa tesi fornirà una sintesi strutturata e aggiornata delle principali applicazioni dell’IA nella contabilità delle ONG offrendo: • una panoramica sulle tecnologie emergenti e sulle loro implicazioni per il settore non profit; • una raccolta di esempi concreti basati su documentazione ufficiale e casi studio di organizzazioni internazionali; • un’analisi delle opportunità e delle criticità connesse all’uso dell’IA nella gestione finanziaria, con particolare attenzione agli aspetti normativi ed etici; • un quadro sulle prospettive future utile per comprendere il ruolo che l’IA potrà assumere nel settore della contabilità delle ONG nei prossimi anni.
